Kings Empire's Dragon Runes

Kings Empires Dragon Runes

Dragon Runes can be equipped to a city to give bonuses. These bonuses can help you play Kings Empire efficiently.

4 kinds of Dragon runes

  1. Red ( Attack bonus for all units )
  2. Yellow ( Defense bonus for all units )
  3. Green ( Healing cool down reduction )
  4. Blue ( Marching speed for all units )
To collect Dragon runes you need rune fragments. You can get rune fragments in your first 10 attacks per day without using the capital items ( if you use capital items you wont get rune fragments ). you will a certain amount of runes to summon a Dragon runes. 3 dragon runes per color is the maximum capacity of each city.

The bar above indicates your chances to get high star dragon runes. 5 star is the highest star of runes you can get. Use 15 times summon to increase your chances to get 5 star dragon runes.

To upgrade Dragon runes you need rune energy. You can get rune energy by melting your unused dragon runes. Be sure to upgrade your highest star dragon runes it will increase the bonus percentage per upgrade.

Notes:
  • Dragon Runes of the same level can have different bonus.

King's Empire Capital

Kings Empire Capital

World Picture of Capitals
Capital somewhat describes the strength of the alliance. Capital also has items that is very useful in game.

Capital Items:

Flavored Bacon Level 1 - reduced marching time by 10%
Flavored Bacon Level 2 - reduced marching time by 20%
Flavored Bacon Level 3 - reduced marching time by 30%

Emerald Poison Level 1 - Reduced the military strength of NPC camp's by 1 level
Emerald Poison Level 2 - Reduced the military strength of NPC camp's by 2 level
Emerald Poison Level 3 - Reduced the military strength of NPC camp's by 3 level

Trekker's Pack Level 1 - Get more resources when robbing NPC camp's by 5%
Trekker's Pack Level 2 - Get more resources when robbing NPC camp's by 10%
Trekker's Pack Level 3 - Get more resources when robbing NPC camp's by 20%

Capturing Capital

In capturing the capital you have to at-least have idea on how many troops are protecting the capital because if you lose in capital war all your troops sent to the capital will die, so you have to be very careful in capturing or sending troops to the capital.

If you really want to capture the capital of other alliance you may want to use alt or sub alliance in declaring a war in capital. This will allow your main alliance to bid for the capital in the last seconds and will prevent the targeted alliance from bidding the capital using their sub or alt alliance to protect their capital.

Declaring a war in capital is like declaring a war with other alliance so be careful. If this is your purpose I suggest to strike first the top 10 players of your targeted alliance to decrease their troops. This will be your advantage you will have more troop count and will increase your chance of winning the cap. But be careful they will strike back for sure so you better be ready, so I suggest to annihilate them all.

Defending Capital

You can defend your capital by bidding on the capital in the last second by using your alt alliance. This will prevent the attacking alliance in capturing your capital they have no choice but to wait for the next declaration. If you successfully done this your next step will be preparing for war.

I do not suggest in defending your capital by sending troops unless you are confident in the chance of winning the capital. Believe it or not most of us players of Kings Empire build more offensive troops than defensive troops. In defensing the capital you need the defensive power of troops so it will be very risky. So I suggest to let them take the capital and just retake it. But if you believe that your alliance have more troops and defensive power than the attacking alliance and if you believe that your alliance will win the fight its your call.

You might want to consider these things before attacking or defending a capital.

  1. Distance to the targeted capital, If the distance is too far it will increase the food usage of the troops. This might decrease your sending  troop count to the capital.
  2. Availability of your players less players online less troops available. ( If you trust each other you might want to give your username and password to the online players just to send your troops, probably the leader )
  3. Intel of the opposing alliance, you might want to know their troop counts and availability of their players.
GOOD LUCK!

King's Empire Battle Guide

City Placement

These tips are city placement in preparation for war time. In placing your city you have to consider few things, transferring time of resources, marching time of troops, and farming of NPC camps.

1. Placing one of your city far away as possible. This allows you to hide your troops while they are marching in your farthest city. This strategy will allow you to save your gems and good for players who don't buy gems. Instead of using gems to use Peace Agreement you will just use to do the limbo (transfering of troops from one city to another)

Pros:
  • It save gems good for non gem buyer players.
  • If you have spy in your alliance they cannot see your troop count and which city will your troops land.
Cons:
  • You can't attack if your troops are still marching.
  • You have to be online before your troops land to the city to do the limbo again. (your troops will be vulnerable because you don't have protection so you have to do the limbo again)
  • Your farming troops are very vulnerable.

Note:
When trasferring troops to your farthest city, occupy a nearest village then send all your troops from that occupied village to your farthest city, to save food.

2. Placing your other cities 10 to 15 minutes away from your main, This allows you to maximize your farming capabilities, your cities won't over farm your other cities level 11.

Pros:
  • It will widen your farming area of NPC camp's
  • Player's will have difficult time to find your cities.

Cons:
  • Distribution of resources takes time.
  • Dispatching of troops takes time.

3. Stronghold is placing cities, villages, and NPC camp's in one area. It is a very good defense against your enemy. If you have a good stronghold the attacking player cannot use all of his army to attack your city espesially if he has a huge amount of troops.

Troops uses food when attacking and it increases depending on kind of troops and distance of attack. Stronghold makes the distance of attack farther, Then increases the food consumption of troops, Then decreases the possible amount of troops that will be send by the offensive player.

Stronghold of one of my guildmate jin
When making a stronghold it is more effective to use multiple alts, than using villages and NPC camp's. Villages and NPC camp's can be consumed by other players and will make a hole in your defense. Also build city outside your stronghold for farming purposes but if you prepare using your alt as a farmer that may also work.

Pros:
  • Good defense against huge amount of troops.

Cons:
  • Time consuming.
  • It can reduce your farming efficiency.

Player Job Distribution

1.Breaker is a player that kills the wall and reduces the amount of troops of the defensive player without making them bubbled (Protection/peace agreement). You have to compute it very carefully, The attack power of the attacker must not go beyond 99% of the defense of the targeted player to prevent him using the automatic protection. Breaker is usually players that have average scores and average amount of troops. ( depending on the target and computation )

Pros:
  • Very effective in killing the troops of targeted players.
  • Can be used in killing players that has a huge amount of troops.
  • It reduces the amount of troop lost of the killer player.

Cons:
  • Needs two players to be very effective. (Breaker and Killer)
  • Breaker will have a huge amount of troop lost and huge amount of healing gold

2. Killer is the player that gives the finishing blow to the targeted player. It means after the breaker attacks the killer will player will follow. killer players is the one that has the strongest attack power and the largest amount of troops.

Pros:
  • Less troop lost.

Cons:
  • Needs two players to be very effective. (Breaker and Killer)

3. Gold Maker is the player that creates gold for the alliance. They farm then sell resources for gold. It is usually the alts of the players, They focus on upgrading living quarters to max.

Pros:
  • Very vital for healing troops.
Cons:
  • Time consuming.

4. Spy/Intel is the player that joins other alliance then gather intel like troops counts and cords of the players. This player is very vital to the game to ensure the probability of winning the war. This is a dirty trick in game but it is used by many experience players.

Pros:
  • Makes the job of the players easier because of the accurancy of info.
Cons:
  • Dirty trick.

Note: these are just guidelines that I have learned from my experience and other playes experience.

Defensive units:

·         Arcane Mage (balanced defensive troops.Holy Clergy (balanced defensive troops)

·         Crossbow Archer (strong against infantry, cost effective to build)

·         Squire (strong against cavalry, cost effective to build)

·         Cavalry Archer (strong against cavalry)

·         Paladin (good against mages)

·         Zeppelin (strong against infantry)

I do not recommend building pure defensive troops but if you want to build pure defensive troops, I suggest to build arcane mage, squires, cavalry archers and zeppenlins.

Total Attack power formula ( attack power * Unit Count )The above calculation is based on 1 hour training time

·         Swordsman (cost effective to build)

·         Meat Grinder (highest attack power)

·         Battle Mage (strong against Royal Knight)

·         Ram (strong against all kinds of army except meat grinder)

·         Royal knight

Building offensive unit is good for aggressive players, remember this is a war game, so whether you like it or not, you will have to battle with other players sooner or later. Based on the computation above battering ram is the most efficient offensive unit to train. It has the highest total attack power in 1 hour training time.

Based on the calculation above swordsman and battering ram are good choices in building pure offensive troops. But I suggest to mixed battle mage because Battle Mage is strong against Royal Knight ( Royal Knight magic defense 50 , Battle Mage attack power 80 ) most players build Royal Knight because they are balanced troops in terms of attack and defense or what we call quality troops.

Balance units:

·         Paladin

·         Royal knight

·         Ram

These 3 units are quality troops, they have good offensive power and good defensive power. I recommend these units for beginners. They compensate for each other in terms of defense. I suggest to build rams, royal knight and few paladin.

Personal Preference:

I build Rams, Royal Knight and Battle Mage for war purposes and I build Paladins for farming purposes. I focus on building Rams then Royal Knight then Battle Mage, for me this build is semi-offensive build. Ram and Royal Knight can compensate for each other in terms of defense (look at the table above) plus they have a high attack power then mixed with battle mage that also has a high attack power and good against royal knight (Battle Mage attack power 80, Royal Knight Magic defense 50). The reason I mixed Battle mage into my troops build is because most players build Royal Knight  so I will be very effective in terms of attacking most of the players.
